ISO, short for The International Organisation for
Standardisation, was formed in 1947 to
“facilitate the international co-ordination and
unification of industrial standards”. A
non-governmental organisation, it
operates as a network of institutes in 147 countries
with its headquarters based in Geneva.
ISO 9001 Standard is concerned with "quality
management". This means what the organisation does to
enhance customer satisfaction by meeting customer and
applicable regulatory requirements and continually to
improve its performance in this regard.
Translation Management gained ISO certification for
its quality administration systems in 2000 and meets
the appropriate standard of BS EN ISO 9001:2008.
